Grading

At packing the onions are first topped and tailed and then sorted, by hand, into 3 quality grades;

  • Class 1 - (EU Cat 1)
  • Class 2
  • Processing

    • The onions are then sized by diameter into up to 6 size ranges from 30mm to 100mm.
